Oral Argument Transcripts

On March 6th, 2024, attorneys Dale Saran and Brandon Johnson argued in front of the Court on behalf of the plaintiffs in Bassen v. US and Botello v. US, respectively.

These arguments are not the trial or even arguments on the merits of our claims. They do not cover every possible issue in these cases, they are arguments regarding a specific motion– the government’s Motion to Dismiss.

Additionally, in the Coast Guard case, Harkins v. US, attorneys Dale Saran, Brandon Johnson, and Andrew Meyer joined opposing counsel on a status call with the Judge, the transcript of which can also be found below. After this call, the Judge ruled that Harkins would continue forward.
